From Sunday 1 November, the north coast of Brač gets its own boat to Split. Krilo Kapetan Luka starts a new year-round state line, number 9605, from Pučišća via Postira to Split, and on Saturdays the catamaran also calls at Omiš. Krilo calls it the first direct year-round link from this side of the island to Split, without the detour via Supetar, and says the trip from Pučišća takes about 70 minutes.
There is one return trip a day, and it is timed for island life. On weekdays the catamaran leaves Pučišća early in the morning and comes back from Split in the late afternoon, so you can spend a working day in town. On Saturdays it leaves Brač a little later and stops in Omiš in both directions. On Sundays and holidays it runs the other way round: out of Brač in the afternoon, back from Split in the evening. The box below shows the boats on the first day.
The boat is the Tropic, a catamaran built in 2022 for 332 passengers. It carries foot passengers only, so with a car you still need one of Jadrolinija's car ferries, from Split to Supetar or from Makarska to Sumartin. You can also use the line for the short hop between Postira and Pučišća. Island residents pay a lower fare.
One thing is still open: for Christmas Day, Krilo's online timetable shows no sailing, while the printed one suggests the holiday trip runs. We show no boat that day until we know more.
Every departure and price is on our pages for Pučišća → Split, Postira → Split, Split → Pučišća and Omiš → Pučišća. Today's boats on all routes are on the homepage.
