About Brač Ferry

Brač Ferry is an independent website. We're not a ferry company or a travel agency, and nobody pays us to show their boats here.

Who we are

We're the two people behind Morten Smalby, and we live in Split, so Brač is right across the water from us. We go over to the island several times every year, in summer and out of season.

Before we put a single timetable online, we took every ferry and catamaran route to Brač ourselves: all 20 connections, from the main ones like Split – Supetar, Split – Bol, Split – Milna, Split – Sutivan, Split – Postira, Split – Pučišća and Dubrovnik – Milna to the smaller island hops. That's where the tips on our route pages come from: where the boat actually leaves, how early you really need to be there, and what the crossing is like.

We've also filmed almost the whole island for our YouTube channel, from Bol and Zlatni rat to Supetar, Sutivan, Milna, Postira, Pučišća, Selca and Sumartin. Add the trips and stays on Brač that had nothing to do with work, and we know the island well: its ferries, beaches and towns, and the small local things you only learn by being there.

Why we made this site

We built Brač Ferry to give travellers an easy, accessible way to find the official timetables and book directly with the ferry companies.

Morten Smalby used to run a company where people booked their ferry tickets, and saw how much extra travellers paid on top of the ticket: booking fees, service fees and the like. Here you find the timetable, and the "Buy ticket" button takes you straight to the operator's own shop. No middleman, no extra fees.

And the questions never stopped. Under our YouTube videos, and whenever we met people in person, the same ones kept coming back. How do I get to Brač? Which ferry should I take, and from where? Do I need to book? Can I take the car? After answering them dozens of times, we decided to put all the answers in one place.

Where the information comes from

The departures and prices come from the official timetables of Jadrolinija, Krilo Kapetan Luka, Krilo Shipping Company and TP Line. Every route page says when we last checked it, and the berths in Split come straight from the Port of Split.

Every day we go through what the ferry companies announce and what is happening on the island, and we publish only what you might find interesting or useful: cancellations are marked on the timetables, and the rest goes into our news.

Timetables do change, sometimes at short notice. If something on the site looks wrong to you, please let us know.
