Our tips for the catamaran
This is a summer-only catamaran, from 29 May to 27 September, and it's one of the fastest and cheapest ways from Brač to Split. An adult ticket costs €7.50.
We sailed this route a few times last year. Krilo Shipping Company runs it, and we know the people behind the company.
Like on the other catamarans, there's air conditioning, a vending machine and a small bar for a coffee.
The catamaran leaves from Sutivan's harbour, in the middle of the village, so there's no long walk to the pier.
There's no car ferry from Sutivan. With a car, or outside the summer, take the car ferry from Supetar (Supetar → Split). Sutivan is on the same north coast of Brač, a little west of Supetar.
As for the boats, Krilo Shipping Company usually sends the catamaran KSC Orangina (around 284 passengers). The companies swap boats from time to time, so yours may be a different one.
As for where to sit, it doesn't really matter here. It's a short trip, so just sit wherever you like.
There are no seat reservations on the catamarans: you sit wherever you like, first come, first served. All of them have air conditioning.
Bags are stowed one by one as people board, so the first ones in end up behind everyone else's. If you board last, yours will be the easiest to get to when you arrive.
