Good to know before you go
Milna has more catamarans than you might expect: three companies stop here, all for foot passengers only. Most of them carry on to other islands, so the crossing time depends on which one you take.
Krilo Shipping Company has the year-round catamaran, which stops in Rogač on Šolta on the way and takes 60 minutes. An adult ticket costs €5.00 to €7.70, depending on the season. From 3 July to 30 August they also run a second catamaran that calls at Sutivan, for €7.70.
Krilo Kapetan Luka stops in Milna every day from 1 April to 31 October on its catamaran between Split and Dubrovnik, for €10.00. Their catamaran between Split and Vis calls in on Wednesdays only (not on public holidays), all year, for €5.00 to €7.70.
TP Line stops here on its way between Split and Hvar, Korčula and Dubrovnik, from 1 April to 31 October. A ticket costs €11.00.
Pick a date at the top of the page and you'll see exactly which ferries are running that day, from all three companies.
Our tips for the catamaran
From Milna, catamarans go to more places than from any other port on the island: Split, Sutivan, Hvar, Korčula, Pomena on Mljet, Vis, Rogač on Šolta and Dubrovnik. You'll find them all on our routes page.
There's no car ferry to Milna. If you're bringing a car, take the car ferry from Split to Supetar (Split → Supetar) and drive across the island. Going back, it's the same the other way round (Supetar → Split).
As for the boats, Krilo Shipping Company usually sends the catamaran KSC Orangina (around 284 passengers); Krilo Kapetan Luka (Split – Dubrovnik line) usually sends the catamaran Krilo Tropic (332 passengers) or Krilo Nomadic (250 passengers); Krilo Kapetan Luka (Split – Vis line) usually sends the catamaran Krilo Eclipse (440 passengers); TP Line usually sends the catamaran Borik (300 passengers) or Puntamika (312 passengers). The companies swap boats from time to time, so yours may be a different one.
As for where to sit, it doesn't really matter here. The views are much the same on both sides, so just grab a window seat.
There are no seat reservations on the catamarans: you sit wherever you like, first come, first served. All of them have air conditioning.
Bags are stowed one by one as people board, so the first ones in end up behind everyone else's. If you board last, yours will be the easiest to get to when you arrive.

How much are the ferry tickets to Milna?
Where to buy: every company sells tickets online. The "Buy ticket" button next to each departure takes you straight to the right shop.
Krilo Shipping Company: You can also buy them in person in Split, at Accommodo Vobis on Obala Lazareta 2, near the ferry port.
Krilo Kapetan Luka: You can also buy them in person in Split, at the Kapetan Luka kiosk on Gat sv. Duje, in the ferry port.
TP Line: You can also buy them in person in Split, at the TP Line booth on Gat sv. Duje, or the TP Line sales point on Obala Lazareta 3. There's no TP Line ticket office in Milna: tickets are sold on the catamaran if there are seats left, so in July and August it's best to buy online. Tickets are also sold on board before departure, if there are seats left.
Good to know: prices differ quite a lot between the companies, and on some catamarans with the season. The departure list shows the adult price for the day you pick.
