Our tips for the catamaran
This catamaran is the new year-round line between Pučišća, Postira, Omiš and Split, from 1 November. We haven't taken it yet, but we will soon.
For the first time, Postira and Pučišća have a regular catamaran between them, which makes life easier for people living in these small towns on Brač.
Krilo Kapetan Luka uses the same kind of catamarans as on its other lines, with air conditioning, a vending machine and coffee.
The catamaran takes foot passengers only, not cars. Both villages are on Brač, so with a car you can simply drive. To get your car onto the island, take the car ferry from Split to Supetar (Split → Supetar) or from Makarska to Sumartin (Makarska → Sumartin).
As for the boats, Krilo Kapetan Luka usually sends the catamaran Krilo Tropic (332 passengers). The companies swap boats from time to time, so yours may be a different one.
For the best views, sit on the left side, looking towards the front of the catamaran. The catamaran runs along Brač's north coast, and you'll have the island on that side.
There are no seat reservations on the catamarans: you sit wherever you like, first come, first served. All of them have air conditioning.
Bags are stowed one by one as people board, so the first ones in end up behind everyone else's. If you board last, yours will be the easiest to get to when you arrive.
