Milna to Pomena (Mljet) by catamaran

Cars parked on the waterfront square in Milna, with stone houses and cypress trees behind

Only one ferry links Milna on Brač with Pomena on Mljet, the island with the national park: the Krilo Kapetan Luka catamaran between Split and Dubrovnik, once a day each way from 1 April to 31 October. Below you can see today's departures from Milna (or pick any other date), the full 2026 timetable and what the tickets cost.

Timetables checked 22 October 2026 against the official operator timetables.

When's the next ferry?

Milna → Pomena (Mljet)

Other way: Pomena (Mljet) → Milna

Good to know before you go

In bad weather, for safety reasons, Krilo Kapetan Luka docks at Sobra instead of Pomena. Sobra is a different harbour on Mljet, quite a long way from Pomena, so keep that in mind if the sea is rough.

Our tips for the catamaran

These catamarans take foot passengers only, not cars. If you're travelling with a car, the way onto Brač is the car ferry from Split to Supetar (Split → Supetar) or from Makarska to Sumartin (Makarska → Sumartin).

As for the boats, Krilo Kapetan Luka usually sends the catamaran Krilo Tropic (332 passengers) or Krilo Nomadic (250 passengers). The companies swap boats from time to time, so yours may be a different one.

As for where to sit, it doesn't really matter here. We checked the route on the map, and the coast is about as close on one side as on the other, so just grab a window seat.

There are no seat reservations on the catamarans: you sit wherever you like, first come, first served. All of them have air conditioning.

Bags are stowed one by one as people board, so the first ones in end up behind everyone else's. If you board last, yours will be the easiest to get to when you arrive.
