Hvar to Milna by catamaran

A narrow stone alley in Milna opening onto the harbour and its boats

There's no ferry of its own between Milna on Brač and Hvar town, but the long catamarans between Split and Dubrovnik stop at both, so it's an easy hop from spring to the end of October with Krilo Kapetan Luka or TP Line. Below you can see today's departures from Hvar (or pick any other date), the full 2026 timetable and what the tickets cost.

Timetables checked 22 October 2026 against the official operator timetables.

Other way: Milna → Hvar

Good to know before you go

The catamaran between Split and Vis also stops in Milna and in Hvar, but never at both on the same trip, so it doesn't link the two.

Krilo Kapetan Luka warns that the Port Authority of Hvar has lowered the speed limit for entering the port, so small delays are possible on every catamaran that calls at Hvar.

Our tips for the catamaran

These catamarans take foot passengers only, not cars. If you're travelling with a car, the way onto Brač is the car ferry from Split to Supetar (Split → Supetar) or from Makarska to Sumartin (Makarska → Sumartin).

As for the boats, Krilo Kapetan Luka usually sends the catamaran Krilo Tropic (332 passengers) or Krilo Nomadic (250 passengers); TP Line usually sends the catamaran Borik (300 passengers) or Puntamika (312 passengers). The companies swap boats from time to time, so yours may be a different one.

For the best views, sit on the right side, looking towards the front of the catamaran. We checked the route on the map: for most of the way the coast is closer on that side, so that's where the views are.

There are no seat reservations on the catamarans: you sit wherever you like, first come, first served. All of them have air conditioning.

Bags are stowed one by one as people board, so the first ones in end up behind everyone else's. If you board last, yours will be the easiest to get to when you arrive.
